On this episode of the Department of Veterans Affairs theSITREP, Paul Corbett shares how you can get free, brand new, medical supplies and equipment, such as oxygen, wheel chairs, mattresses, compression socks, scooters–and even modifications to your home or vehicle. To take advantage of this free benefit, you must already be enrolled in VA health care. If you are enrolled, you simply need to contact the prosthetics department at your local VA facility to request the items. If you’re unsure of how to contact them, call the main phone number for your local facility and request to speak with the prosthetics department.
