If your VA rated disability has gotten worse recently and you haven’t yet submitted a request to increase your compensation, you’re leaving money on the table. According to VA, you can request an increase if:
- VA medical and hospital records that show your rated disability has gotten worse, [OR]
- Private medical and hospital records that show your rated disability has gotten worse [OR]
- Supporting or lay statements from family, friends, or coworkers with knowledge about your disability that has gotten worse
